A bow is drawed from the impressionistic Debussy-Sonata to Hindemith and
contemporary music.
All three sonatas have a deep emotional feeling and a dazzling
expressiveness.
They are impressive paintings of natural events.
High technical and
interpretatory capabilities and qualities are demanded to perform these
sonatas ,
so they are not often heared in concert, nevertheless they are very
stimulating and amazing pieces.
Especially in this recording of the third Enescu-sonata for violin and
piano, the violin with her inexhaustible possibilities of expressions and
onomatopoetic capabilities draws a painting of nature and soul,
which suprises and deeply impresses.
The second CD (
Les Soirées Intimes )
contains beside the original text of " I Palpiti
" and the
" Cantabile " by N. Paganini, several short , little
known pieces for violin and piano by Chopin, Elgar, Faurè, Kreisler und
Prihoda , melodies which are simply balsam for the soul.
The double-CD contains also
the first recording
of Drdla's - Concert-Fantasy of
" Hoffmanns Tales "
by J. Offenbach
". In this piece well known melodies from this famous opera are
worked up by the composer - himself a famous violinist - in a virtuosic
way.
