CD-Review
Record Geijutsu ( No. 685 / October 2007 )

This recording is unique in two points of view, on one hand in the term of the selection of players, on the other hand their instruments.
The listener could appreciate beautiful tone of Stainer violin, with the interpretation of Irnberger who makes use of this original instrument , and without stiff academism.
Demus takes advantage of simpler sound of each instrument, render well the fluidity,
which is unique to this composer.

Irnberger's interpretation of Mozart here portrays, indeed, very confident musicality of this young violinist. The tone is highly transparent, the longing sound, the beautifulness, voluptuousness and brilliancy of tone, everything perfect, particulary in its middle to lower register very strong, warm and soft.
Demus plays very confidently, overwhelming difficulties with tireless energy.

The listener couldn't even imagine that two musicians are from very distant generations ,
as if they are both young full of passion.
